Vintage Photography 

This is a carte de visite (CDV for short), which is a type of small photograph patented in Paris, France by photographer Andre Aldolph Eugene Disderi back in 1854. The picture of this child comes from Granniss photography based in Waterbury, Connecticut and was in business between 1868 and 1897.
